An Evening of Honest Conversation at The Partridge

There is a distinct pleasure in the local meet that often eludes the high-pressure environment of the international auction circuit.
While my professional life was frequently defined by the complex logistics of global collections, my personal joy remains rooted in the grassroots of the car community. That passion brought me to the Ferrari Owners’ Club North West monthly meeting at The Partridge near Warrington (just over a mile from my house) and held on the first Thursday of each month.
The Partridge, with its traditional brickwork and welcoming atmosphere, provides a backdrop that feels grounded and authentic much like the "no-nonsense" approach I strive for at Hope Classics. I arrived in the California T Speciale, a car that continues to impress me with its dual personality as a refined grand tourer and a spirited performer. In the company of the North West group, there is no need for marketing hyperbole or speculation, the conversation is generally as unfiltered as the experience of the cars themselves.
We spent the evening discussing the world of cars from the tactile realities of Ferrari ownership to using the 1950 Allard in the Dolomites and everything else - just as you would normally over a couple of beers.
If you're thinking of buying, selling, or perhaps starting to build your own collection that reflects your own definition of “supercar", please remember that I'm here to offer totally impartial advice.
