Porsche Club GB Track Day at Oulton Park: GT3 RSs and Proper Track Action

Being a member of Porsche Club GB has its advantages, and one of them is the opportunity to attend some excellent track days around the country.

I recently made the trip to Oulton Park for one of the Club’s track days, and as you would expect there was no shortage of interesting machinery to look at.

There was a great turnout, with Porsches of all ages and specifications filling the paddock and heading out onto the circuit throughout the day. There were plenty of serious cars amongst them too, including a particularly strong showing of GT3 RS models.

It is always enjoyable seeing these cars being used properly. However impressive a GT3 RS may be sitting in a showroom or collection, it really comes alive on a circuit such as Oulton Park, where you can appreciate just how capable these cars are.

The photographs here are just a couple from the day, but they give a flavour of the variety of cars that turned up.

Days like this are also one of the pleasures of being involved with Porsche Club GB. There is always a good mixture of cars and owners, and plenty of opportunity to catch up with people who share the same enthusiasm.

A special mention must also go to RPM Technik.

All in all, a very enjoyable day at Oulton Park, surrounded by some exceptional Porsches and with plenty of proper track activity to watch.
